My Membership Isn't Showing or My Member Features Are Missing

  • Updated

If you've purchased a Watch Duty membership but the app still shows you as a free user—or you can't access features included with your membership—start by checking that you're logged into the correct Watch Duty account.

Make sure you're logged in

Your membership is associated with your Watch Duty account. To access your membership features, make sure you're logged in using the email address associated with your membership.

If you're unsure which email you used, try resetting your password using the email addresses you commonly use with Watch Duty.

If you've recently purchased or upgraded your membership and the correct membership still isn't showing, log out and log back in to refresh your membership status.

Can I use my membership on multiple devices?

Yes. You can use your Watch Duty membership on your personal devices by logging into the same Watch Duty account on each one.

I upgraded my membership, but features are still locked

If you've recently upgraded your membership:

  1. Log out and log back in to refresh your membership status.
  2. Confirm that your purchase was completed. If an upgrade didn't finish successfully, your account may not have been charged and the new membership may not have been activated.
  3. Confirm that your account shows the correct membership level.

If your account shows the correct membership but a particular feature still isn't available, the issue may not be related to your membership.

For example, some map layers are only visible at certain zoom levels, and some data—such as wildfire camera coverage—isn't available in every geographic area.

What if I purchased my membership through Apple?

Memberships purchased through Apple require some additional troubleshooting because Apple manages the underlying App Store transaction.

If you can't determine which account is associated with your purchase, contact Watch Duty Support for help.

See Apple App Store Memberships: Login, Billing, and Cancellation Help for more information.

What if I'm on a Watch Duty Teams account?

A Teams membership seat must be assigned to your email address before you'll receive the membership benefits associated with your organization's account.

If your Teams membership isn't showing:

  • Ask your organization's account owner or admin to confirm that a seat is assigned to your email address.
  • Make sure you're logging into Watch Duty with the same email address that was assigned the Teams seat.
  • If you previously had access and it disappeared, ask your account owner or admin to confirm that your seat is still active.

For more information, see Watch Duty Teams: Account Owner vs. Admin.

Can I share my Watch Duty account?

No. Watch Duty accounts are intended for individual use and shouldn't be shared between multiple people.

Watch Duty's core life-safety features are available for free without a membership or account.

If multiple people in an organization need membership features, Watch Duty Teams allows each person to have their own account and membership access.

Still not seeing your membership?

If you've confirmed that:

  • You're logged into the correct account
  • Your purchase was completed
  • Your account should have an active membership or Teams seat

and your membership still isn't showing, contact Watch Duty Support so our team can investigate.
