Watch Duty Teams accounts have two management roles: account owner and admin. Both can help manage your team, but only the account owner can manage billing and purchase additional membership seats.
Account owner
Each Watch Duty Teams account has one account owner. The owner role is tied to the account’s billing and membership.
The account owner can:
- Purchase additional membership seats
- Assign purchased seats to team members
- Remove team members from purchased seats
- Make other team members admins
Only the account owner can purchase additional seats.
Admins
Admins can help manage your team’s existing membership seats, but they cannot purchase additional seats.
Admins can:
- Assign purchased seats to team members
- Remove team members from purchased seats
If your team needs more seats, the account owner will need to purchase them.
Getting your team onboarded
If you need to onboard a large number of team members at once, Watch Duty Support can help with a bulk import.
Provide a spreadsheet containing three columns:
- First Name
- Last Name
Once members are added, each person will receive an email with instructions to create a password.
If a team member can't sign in
New members may have received a password setup email when their account was created. Ask them to check their inbox and spam or junk folder.
They can also reset their password at Watch Duty's password reset page using the email address associated with their Teams membership. For more information, see How to Log In, Reset Your Password, or Recover Your Watch Duty Account.
Members with an existing Apple subscription
If a team member previously purchased an individual Watch Duty membership through Apple, they will need to cancel that subscription themselves. Watch Duty does not have access to manage subscriptions purchased through Apple.
