Our core life-and-safety features are available to everyone, and you don't need a paid membership to access them. Watch Duty memberships are optional and provide additional features to help support our work.

Core Watch Duty features available for free include:

• Incident maps
• Active evacuation information and zones
• Updates from Watch Duty reporters

You don't need to purchase a membership to receive critical incident and evacuation information.

Do I need a membership to see evacuation zones?

No. You don't need a paid membership to see evacuation zones associated with an active incident.

When an incident has active evacuations and evacuation zones are available to Watch Duty, those zones are shown regardless of whether you have a membership.

What does a Watch Duty membership include?

Watch Duty memberships are optional. They provide additional features and a way to financially help support Watch Duty and the work we do.

Depending on your membership, additional features may include tools and data such as:
