PG&E Wildfire Resilience Grant Program: Setting Up Your Watch Duty Teams Account

  • Updated

If your fire department or agency participates in PG&E's Wildfire Resilience Grant Program, your organization may receive Watch Duty Teams memberships funded by PG&E.

PG&E has paid for these memberships in full, so there is no cost to your department or agency for the granted seats.

Why did I receive an email from Watch Duty?

PG&E provides Watch Duty with information about participating organizations and their points of contact. Once we receive your organization's information, Watch Duty will send an introductory email with information about your Teams membership.

In some cases, this email may be the first notification you receive about the Watch Duty Teams memberships provided through the grant program.

If you receive an invoice related to these memberships, it should indicate that the licenses have been paid for through PG&E's Wildfire Resilience Grant Program. Your organization does not need to pay for the granted seats.

How do I get my team set up?

Your organization receives a set number of Watch Duty Pro membership seats funded by PG&E.

Your Watch Duty Teams account can be used to assign those seats to members of your organization. Admins can add or remove team members from your available seats through the Teams admin portal.

For step-by-step instructions, see How do I manage my Watch Duty Teams account and memberships?.

What if I didn't receive my setup email?

First, check your inbox and spam or junk folder for a password setup email from Watch Duty.

You can also reset your password using Watch Duty's password reset page. Enter the same email address that was added to your organization's Teams account. Fore more information, see How to Log In, Reset Your Password, or Recover Your Watch Duty Account.

What if I already pay for a Watch Duty membership through Apple?

If you previously purchased an individual Watch Duty membership through the Apple App Store, joining your organization's Teams account does not automatically cancel your existing Apple subscription.

You'll need to manage or cancel that subscription directly through Apple. Watch Duty cannot cancel an App Store subscription on your behalf.

See Apple App Store Memberships: Login, Billing, and Cancellation Help for detailed instructions.
