If you purchased your Watch Duty membership through Apple's App Store, Apple manages the billing and subscription associated with your membership.
This means billing changes need to be made through Apple rather than Watch Duty.
What can Watch Duty manage?
Watch Duty cannot directly:
- Update the payment method for an App Store subscription
- Cancel an App Store subscription
- Issue a refund for a purchase made through the App Store
These transactions are managed by Apple and need to be handled through your Apple account.
How do I cancel my Watch Duty subscription through Apple?
To cancel an App Store subscription on your iPhone or iPad:
- Open Settings on your device.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Watch Duty.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.
Canceling your subscription stops it from renewing through Apple. Your existing membership will remain available according to Apple's subscription terms through the end of the applicable subscription period.
What if I'm having trouble logging in?
First, make sure you're trying to sign in with the email address associated with your Watch Duty account.
If you used Sign in with Apple when creating your account and chose Hide My Email, Apple may have provided Watch Duty with a unique private relay email address instead of your personal email address. This means the email address associated with your Watch Duty account may look different from the email address you normally use.
If you're unsure of your password, use the Watch Duty password reset page and enter the email address associated with your Watch Duty account.
What if I need a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Because Apple processes the transaction, Watch Duty cannot issue the refund directly.
You'll need to submit your refund request through Apple.
