Device or Browser Not Supported

If you received a notice that your device or browser is no longer supported, please try the following steps to resolve this issue.

 

Android

  1. Confirm your device has the most recent version of Android installed.
  2. Disable the Surface Wind Direction map layer, then force-quit and relaunch Watch Duty.

Windows 11

  1. Press the Windows Key + S, type in, and click on Graphics Settings.
  2. Click on Change default graphic settings.
  3. Toggle Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling on.

Windows 10

  1. Press the Windows Key + S, type in, and click on Graphics Settings.

Enable Browser Hardware-accelerated

Edge Browser

  1. Open Microsoft Edge
    • Launch the Edge browser.
  2. Access System Settings
    • Type edge://settings/system in the address bar and press Enter.
  3. Locate Hardware Acceleration
    • Find the option labeled Use hardware acceleration when available.
  4. Enable Hardware Acceleration
    • Toggle the switch to the "On" position if it's not already enabled.
  5. Relaunch Edge
    • Close and reopen the browser to apply the changes.

Chrome Browser

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner to open the menu.
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. On the left side, select System.
  5. Under the System section, toggle the switch for Use hardware acceleration when available to On.
  6. Restart Chrome.

Firefox Browser

  1. Open Firefox and go to Preferences:
    • Click on the three horizontal lines (the menu button) in the upper right corner of the Firefox window.
    • Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
    • Alternatively, you can type about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter.
  2. Go to the Performance section:
    • In the left-hand menu, click on General.
    • Scroll down to the Performance section.
  3. Uncheck "Use recommended performance settings":
    • Locate the checkbox next to Use recommended performance settings and uncheck it.
  4. Enable "Use hardware acceleration when available":
    • Once you uncheck the Use recommended performance settings box, the option Use hardware acceleration when available will appear.
    • Make sure that this box is checked to enable hardware acceleration.
  5. Restart Firefox:
    • Close and reopen Firefox for the changes to take effect.
